The QC and build on them was amazing when you compare it with stuff nowadays.
The Matsumoko factory was churning out some great stuff then and Westones - especially the Thunder series were great basses. I had an 79 Washburn Falcon and a 83 Westone prestige 250 all where absolutely fantastic guitars period, factor in what you could buy them for in the mid 90s and they where an absolute bargain.
